Children and Worship
Church is offered on Sundays from September through Mid-June. There will be 2 sessions this summer on July 10 and August 7.
■ Church School: Children toilet trained through 5th grade are encouraged to join us for Church School. Youth 6th grade and up are welcome to assist with Sunday School and join the Youth Formation program.
■ Nursery: A trained caregiver and appropriate space is available Sunday mornings for all infants through toddlers during the 10am service.
■ Quiet room: A soundproof space in the worship space is available if parents wish to use it for their child(ren). A changing table is available as well as a rocking chair, books and toys.
■ Children’s message: After Communion, the children are welcomed to the Altar for a special children’s message.
■ Prayground:
A play space is tucked into the pews in the transept of the sanctuary (just in front of the “quiet room”). It is for pre-K and K children to engage in quiet self-directed play and coloring when they join their families for communion after church school.
Youth Formation
Youth Formation is on hiatus at the moment. Below are some of the items offerered other times.
Art Night
Sometimes messy and sometimes meditative, this summer we will explore all different kinds of art! Once a month we will gather to make images using water-guns, all the way to creating stained glass!
Summer Jam
When we say "Summer Jam", we mean it! This summer at St. A's we are going to jam, beat, strum, pluck, and bash, and laugh together. Maybe you haven't picked up your guitar in years, or you just got a new drum set, or are looking to get "plugged in" in a new and different way. Whatever your reason, we'd love for you to join us Fridays @ 3 pm as we jam out!
Basketball Pick-Up Game
Did you know that we have a basketball goal in the back of the church parking-lot? Each Saturday @ 7 pm we invite you, and anyone you’d like to come, join us for a pick-up game! We’ll have water, a ball, and a place for you!
Service Project
Not only are we called to give back to others through service, but we often have a blast doing it! We are focusing our efforts this summer on our local community. Once a month we will meet at and clean up a local Longmeadow park. When we clean, we also play - a game that is! Followed by a trip to the ice cream shop!
Movie Night
Just what you think it is, we set up the projector and turn on the popcorn maker! We invite you to bring a blanket, a chair, or even the whole family to join us once a month for Movie Night! All movies shown are rated at or under PG!
